About

IFW Headshots_web_sizeAsk South Jersey native Stacy McGuigan how she would describe herself. She would probably say something like “fun, loud . . . creative.” She’s the kind of girl who puts!!! after all her sentences.

But somehow, she ended up majoring in math at Glassboro State College. So the path to her dream job didn’t exactly begin with a big bash.

Headed for a career in number-crunching, Stacy landed a job handling investments at a major bank for three years.

Blah. Too boring.

After marrying her high school sweetheart and moving to Virginia, Stacy was ready for a job that was, well, more fun. She worked as a concierge as the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, Va., and was promoted to public-relations/marketing assistant in less than a year. Six months later, she was heading the hotel’s PR and marketing department, which included running all events.

When it was time to start a family, Stacy and her husband moved back to New Jersey, where she finally confirmed her talents were better suited to a ballroom than a boardroom.

Her little ones unleashed her passion for party planning. It started simply enough: She planned her own children’s birthday parties, and was soon her church’s go-to girl for events. Stacy whipped up Halloween parties, Easter egg hunts, fashion shows, the uber-popular mother-daughter tea. Fun activities for the PTO followed and she was hooked.

Parties were her passion, and it was time to also make them her business. Stacy launched Everyday Celebrations in 2010 to help others have fun, affordable, one-of-a-kind events.

And that math degree? It still serves her well. Stacy knows how to budget so clients pay less, and has an eye for detail that ensures perfect events.

It all adds up to a perfect combination: Stacy is living her dream by helping others create the celebration of their dreams.
